Let's see where this takes me.

Wow. A blog. Who would have EVER thought I'd have one of these? lol...

I'd like to start by welcoming you to my new page. I recently started with At Home and am excited to see where this adventure will take me. I hope to be able to share products that you'll love and help you find what you need to make your house a home. But first of all, I bet you're wondering what At Home is all about...right?

"Let me start by giving you a little backround on where this all started. The concept for the business was to start a company that would take the social relationship aspect of home party business combined it with the flash sales world and make it web based.

At the end of September Investors Ron Gabaldon and Jim Pouba decided that instead of starting from the ground up to build their new company-they heard a former home décor company had gone out of business and  theypurchased a few of the assets-  inventory, technology and web domain of the former company known as At Home America.   The core product line was one that would fit well with the new business model they were developing.  .  

Ron and Jim are both smart business men with a vision and plan for a state of the art business that would introduce to the direct sales market , something that has never been done before.  They both specialize in start up companies and building them from the ground up and developing them into successful private and publically traded enterprises. Their reputation in the business community is stellar and as the owners of athome.com they are going to give everyone the opportunity to make a great income while never having to leave their home.

What is athome.com and what is going to make it so different from any other direct sales business out there is what has those of us who are already on board so excited.  This new company is going to be the first company to feature a core home décor product line along with flash sales, and deals of the day.

How many of you have ever shopped sites like Joss & Main, One Kings Lane, Hautelook or Zuilly?  Write those names down and Google those sites- these are called flash sale sites- greatly discounted brand name items that are sold for a limited time.  They are public sites and are driven by 2 factors.  
1. Great product at great prices
2. Building an email list.

How many of you get emails from companies every day—how many do you open?  Unless there is something intriguing in the subject line that jumps out at you  if you re like most people you just delete them.

Athome.com’s concept is to marry the direct sales industry  which is arelationship sales business with the flash sales world and create a company that has quality product in our core line that people will come back for time and time again to add to collections but also feature weekly events of flash sale name brand products that are deeply discounted.  These flash sales will be time limited so that creates and urgency to order before the time is up or the item sells out.  We will offer people great products to help take the place they live and make it the place they love, and saving them lots of money.

Name brands like Rachel Ray, Cuisanart, Denby , brands you see and know on other sites for a lot more money- on your site at a HUGE discount.

Our sites will be private and sold only through consultants personal website and consumers will be driven there by using social media – face book, pintrest, twitter as well as emails from the consultant to her data base.   We will use relationships as many of you have in the past in direct sales to market our sites in a new age technological format.  Most people shop online and don’t have time for the home shows that party plan companies base their revenue on. We live in a busy and fast paced world that this new business model will thrive in.   How many of you currently shop online, how many of your kids shop on their smart phones, it is where technology is taking us.  The difference is that these other companies out there just throw their sites out there and pay a lot of money to do that with the hopes that someone will buy.   With this business model we will capitalize on the relationships in social connections and people’s lives that will drive people to look at and purchase from sites of their friends and family. We will foster that personal connection and utilize it to market to those we know about upcoming products.  How many of you have liked a product on some else’s site, guess what you are marketing that product and not getting paid for it, with athome.com  you will market your site and products and get paid commission on what you sell.

Customers will order directly on your site and you will make 25% of all core line products and 15% on all flash sale products.  Average home party sale is $50 where average flash sale is $150.  People spend more on flash sale  orders due to the perceived value and savings off retail.  Our sites will be private which means we will be able to feature many name brands that normally will not publicly put their items on sale.

There will be no home shows  or time away from your family, and no expenses to eat into the commissions you make.  The website hosting fee of $20 is waived any month you have just one sale on your site.  There is no cost to sign up—just an investment of your time to set up your site and market it out to others.  We will have ongoing training on how to market your site via social media and share templates for marketing material you can print up yourself such as business cards and brochures.  

Products ship via UPS, FED EX and to APO addresses via priority USPS.  Customers will get an email when their order is placed and another when shipping with tracking information.  All in house core product if that is only items on their order will ship  in 7 days, all flash sales items or combination of flash and core will ship in 14- 21 days.

Customer service will be simple and online- returns will be easy- send out a new product and shipping label to send back the damaged item.

Currently we are in our soft launch of the new company where we have a static website for every consultant that is the same and they can easily promote out to people they know and make money this fall.   In 2013 we will be moving to a new platform and state of the art website that will allow each consultant to customize their product offerings each week and truly market their business through social media with like buttons, pin it buttons and twitter links from products on their site.  We will have an app for smart phones and eventually offer products that range outside the home décor offering.  

This new company is bursting on the market in direct sales and will quickly have a huge following and customer base, so right now the question is do you want to be a consumer and get great name brand products at a discount or do you want to be a consultant and earn great money while getting those same discounts and grow a business that will reap your generous rewards?"
